How
to maintain chart of accounts?
Initially we have to
open the accounting software
named as peachtree accounting software from
there on, we shall open an existing
company and then we will click on the maintain
option shown on the menue bar on top of the screen then click on the option CHART OF ACCOUNTS
After selecting charts of account the window shown
below will appear
When this window will appear we should type the Account ID then press the tab button on
keyboard and then we should type Description and also enter the Account type. The accounts ID determine
how the account is identified in the charts of accounts.
We can also search the account id by clicking on the
search button such as shown in the picture below
This window shows the inactive and deactivate.
Select the inactive check box to inactive the
account
How
to enter the beginning balances?
After saving the different balances of charts of
account we put the time period
In this window we click on the beginning balances
and click ok button
After clicking on the ok button the following window
will appear on your screen
from this window we will select the time period which we follow and
click on ok button.
After clicking on the ok button the following window
will appear
We will enter the balances of accounts in this
window
After entering all the balances click on the ok
button shown on the top of the screen and all the balances will be saved.
